Memorial Day Weekend - West Texas

Sucked to say the least. Dave Doherty, you made a wise decision to stay home, even though your weekend probably sucked too unless it involved water sports! Friday night got in late, went up 277 a ways, walked the picnic area cuts, drove back to 90, saw nada. Saturday night, went up 277, storms off to the West and Northwest, 277 the only dry spot as far as I could tell. Saw 1 live atrox on 277. Took 189 over to Juno Rd. Saw 1 D.O.R. Emoryi Rat, saw nothing all the way back to Del Rio. Misting rain on Juno Rd.

Went to Sanderson Sunday and hunted East to Dryden, went up 349, back to Sanderson, temps dropped to 65 and below. Saw nothing. Eric Timeaus caught a nice blairs phase behind me this same night on the first rock cut out of Sanderson around 9:00 P.M. Should have headed toward Langtry and stayed ahead of the storm. Didn't do that and got skunked. Better luck in June!
