Weekly Update ArchiveWeek Ending 05/21/06 I left Houston around 8:00 P.M. I hunted straight through until I got to the Outback Oasis in Sanderson. I hunted sporadically from Langtry on in. It was a very late night, especially when I saw squat! I saw absolutely no snakes Friday, and to tell you the truth, NO snakes the whole trip alive or dead which that has only happened 4 times since I have been collecting. Anyway, I had other agendas, and catching snakes would just have been an added bonus. My primary reasons for this trip were to check out some property I was thinking about purchasing, and also to find a place to erect a marker for my friend Keith Armstrong who passed away in January of 2002. I hope that if you are ever out West and see this marker, you will think of him, even if you never knew him. The marker is exactly 3.7 miles West of Langty Texas on highway 90, and is on the South side of highway 90. He was a great friend of mine who shared snake collecting and was always happy and had a seriously contagious laugh. He is sorely missed. His wife Debra and daughter LeAnn will have an ash spreading ceremony sometime in July at the site of this marker, where he caught his one and only Alterna back in the early 90's.
