Fer-de-lance 1

This snake is one of the most feared and venomous snakes in the entire Central American region. It is a highly nervous and easily agitated snake, especially when approached at night with a light. They are also one of the most beautiful, in my opinion.

This snake was collected from the wilds of Belize with legal permits and entered the U.S. under legal permits. Dr. Larry Nordyke of the University of St. Thomas is presently undergoing DNA research on the sheddings of these animals. A publication of these findings will be published shortly.
