Speckled Racer 2

This racer is extremely common in Belize. It can be found mainly in the early morning daylight hours, just after sun-up. This snake is certainly one of the most beautiful I have ever seen as it crosses the road and glistens in the sunlight. They appear to have sequins that glistens on their body as they streak across the roads. This snake has been virtually decimated in the State of Texas as it's range is in the very southern tip of Texas in Brownsville. This species is endangered and protected in the state of Texas.
